How a 40 year heritage turned into a successful brand extension

Leading the way.

In 2011 Maui and Sons (www.mauiandsons.com) started a food and beverage division to add to the Brand’s healthy outdoor lifestyle products a taste of the tropics. The first product was the 250ml 100% Pure coconut water and the aim was to offer tasty and healthier alternative to the carbonated sugar filled drinks that saturated the market. Following that we asked the question… what happens to the rest of the coconut after we extract the water??? And that led us to use the meat of the coconut and developed our market leading coconut chips. The third product was the 100% organic virgin oil so as to use up the whole coconut !

In 2020 this division became a company of its own, still baring the renown name and product quality associated with the Maui and Sons brand and expanding into a multitude of new products.

Since 1980

Maui and Sons is one of the first Californian Lifestyle brands and the brand claim is that "It started with a cookie". As it is, snacks and beverages were in its genes.

Coconut Water

In 2011 the brand launched its 100% Pure Coconut Water, way before the craze that hit the global market in 2012- 2018. Following we added Aloe based drink with zero sugar and more recently a refreshing Watermelon juice. But there is always more coming...

Healthier Snacks

At the end of 2013 we launched our roasted coconut chips and six months later the dark chocolate covered coconut chips, and became market leaders with in this product.

Going Bananas

In 2014 we added to our range Banana Chips fried in Coconut Oil and Dark Chocolate covered Banana chips. We also went to add other fruit snacks like the Mango Chunks, Dried Mango Slices and Dried Tropical Fruits.
